Located in Patuxent River, the Southern Maryland Tech Bridge helps activate the technological ecosystem and infrastructure in the region, building on a history of strong partnership between the Department of the Navy and the local industrial and academic base.
How We Work
The acquisition and sustainment of technical capabilities is essential to the nation’s defense. That’s why our Southern Maryland Tech Bridge team works to accelerate innovation and enhance industry partnerships in alignment with the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD).
To support our mission, we also collaborate with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head EOD Technology Division as well as industry and academic organizations across the region — including the University of Maryland, Georgia Tech Research Institute, St. Mary’s College, the College of Southern Maryland, and the Patuxent Partnership — to speed solutions that increase Naval capabilities.
