VENTURA TECH BRIDGE
Our Ventura Tech Bridge is based in Ventura County, CA, at the FATHOMWERX laboratory within the commercial Port of Hueneme. We work to connect this rich, diverse ecosystem that includes public and private universities, a high-tech corridor, as well as Naval Base Ventura County.
How We Work
FATHOMWERX was established by Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) in 2019 as a public-private consortium and resource for technical innovation and capability transition. The additions of Naval Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) and Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division (NAWC WD) brought new capabilities and resources to the team — broadening the lab’s scope to address Naval sea, air, and land-based missions.
Through these and other strategic partnerships in the region, the Ventura Tech Bridge evaluates developing tech against operational needs in the port and maritime domains and suggests pathways for engagement, funding, collaboration, and implementation.
